Incineration systems for landfills

Landfill gas combustion with innovative technology
Once waste storage is complete, the methane concentration in landfill gas decreases significantly over time when extraction is carried out in accordance with regulations. This is due to the ongoing biological degradation of the stored organic matter and the intentional or unintentional partial aerobisation of the landfill.
Since conventional recovery technologies are limited in terms of the minimum required CH₄ concentrations, extraction is often restricted, resulting in incomplete collection of the landfill gas.
The e-flox® DGV process eliminates this restriction: it enables safe and continuous degassing of the landfill – according to the current state of knowledge, until the end of the aftercare phase.
e-flox develops combustion systems for treating landfill gas with very low methane concentrations. A characteristic feature of the systems is the complete, slip-free combustion of the gas with maximum utilisation of the waste heat generated. e-flox systems are already in successful use in numerous European countries.
